When I saw these Baking Cup Flowers on SkipToMyLou.org I thought they were so cute that I decided I had to make some. I painted a Terra Cotta pot in Valentine colors and slipped a Styrofoam ball inside to poke the flowers into.
Helpful Hint: Before I slid the cupcake papers onto the lollipop stick I wrapped a small piece of painter's tape around the bottom of the sucker wrapper to make it easier to slide the cupcake papers on. It worked great and was easy to remove before twisting the leaves on. I don't suggest using painter's tape for the leaves as they may come apart too easily.
I thought they turned out pretty cute!
Those are simply adorable. I saw the terra cotta pots at Michael's craft the other day and wondered what I could paint them for. I should've got one!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nikki. That's funny 'cause I bought this pot at Michaels. :0) I've seen Terra Cotta pots painted in so many cute ways. You could do a different one for every holiday.

ReplyDeleteThese flowers are so wonderful, think I might have to make some with my son for his school valentines party on Monday. Thanks so much for sharing this idea with us and linking it to the Valentines Party!
